Planes, Trains and Automobiles

It was a trains, planes and automobiles kind of week, when we took to the open road, the open water and the railroad track during our last trade show tour.  It was a trip like we’ve never done before.  We attended our first gift show in Canada last month and it fell just one week before the New York show, making the travel more interesting than just hopping on an airplane.  Below is what our travel plan looked like:

  • Catch the Ferry from Milwaukee to Michigan
  • Drive from Michigan to the Toronto Gift Show

I did want to make note of how unique and progressive the hotel in Toronto was.  It’s a very progressive hotel branch,  each floor was a different color which assisted guests in locating and remembering their floor.  Each room had accessories to match the floor color.  There was no bellman, no mini bars and not even a restaurant, but there was a self-serve kitchen/grocery in the main lobby, making it easy to prepare a meal at any time.  We really enjoyed our stay at ALT Hotel.
