Green 3 and Uncommon Goods have worked closely together on fun and unique projects, such as the Personalized Tree Throw. A few years back, we partnered with Uncommon Goods and Ripon Athletics in Berlin, Wisconsin on the Letterman’s Cardigan.
The programmed offered Uncommon Goods customers the ability to customize their own cardigan with a large “ major” letter on the front of the sweater, numerals on one arm, and a captain’s star or chevron on the other. Ripon Athletic made the cardigans on site in Berlin, WI where they knit the fabric, did the cut and sew, and ultimately the customization. Customers had a choice of either navy blue or red, giving a cool authentic retro look that was perfect for any wardrobe.
After a few years of selling, it was time to move on to new items. Unfortunately there were some excess sweaters already made and sitting in inventory. Jim and Sandy thought of a couple options for Uncommon Goods to use the extras, including donating them to the local Boys and Girls club in Oshkosh. If you know anything about Uncommon Goods mission, you won’t be surprised to learn that donation was the route they wanted to go. Thanks to their generosity, we are boxing these sweaters up and will be dropping them off shortly. Soon some of the great kids at the Oshkosh Boys and Girls club will have an extra sweater when Wisconsin winter hits. We love working with companies who are willing to give back to communities around the nation. A big shout out to Uncommon Goods from Green 3 and Ripon Athletic, who appreciate the fact that an awesome customer in Brooklyn, New York is making the lives of kids in Oshkosh just a little bit better. Thank you, Uncommon Goods!
